Earth Day Celebration

Join us for our biggest STEM celebration of the year! The Sylvan Heights Earth Day Celebration offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the uses and impacts of science in our daily lives by engaging in hands-on learning with local museums, universities, environmental organizations and STEM professionals. There will be special exhibits, activities and crafts for the whole family!
Visitors can “fly” in a flight simulator, witness the latest technology in drone advancement, and test your skills against our feathered friends to see how well YOU compare to building a nest in the “Bird Nest Engineering Challenge”.
Sylvan Heights Bird Park’s Nature Earth Day Celebration is an official event of the 2024 North Carolina Science Festival presented by RTI International.
