Our 2023 Summer Camp Series offers four days filled with fun science and nature themed activities. Camps take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday – Friday. Campers may sign up for single days or multiple days. Members of Sylvan Heights Bird Park receive discounted registration!
Camp Schedule
Tuesday, June 13th: Silly Science | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
What happens when oil and water mix? Can a boat made only out of tin foil float while carrying coins? Can a water balloon fall to the ground without breaking? Science abounds in this day camp filled to the brim with fun experiments and games from various fields of science.
Wednesday, June 14th: Animal Adaptations | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Claws, wings, teeth–oh my! Come discover all the different ways animals have adapted to their homes: from thick fur for warmth, to stealthy colors for hiding, to sharp claws for climbing. This fun-filled day camp will explore all animals and their uniqueness.
Thursday, June 15th: Scaly Friends | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Slither and crawl your way into this fun-filled day camp and discover the unique world of reptiles! Meet some of our resident reptiles, play reptile themed games, and more!
Friday, June 16th: For the Birds | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Become part of our flock to learn all about birds! From beaks, to feathers, to wings, and more. Come and discover our feathered friends in this day camp and meet some of our resident birds.
Campers should bring:
• Lunch
• Reusable water bottle
• Sunscreen (Parents, please apply sunscreen before drop off, as we will be outside a fair amount. We can re-apply as needed).
We will provide:
• Snacks
• All materials for activities and crafts
