World Migratory Bird Day
May 9 | 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Join Sylvan Heights Bird Park as we celebrate this awareness day for the conservation of migratory birds and their habitats!
World Migratory Bird Day is a global campaign that serves as a beacon for conservation efforts aimed at safeguarding migratory birds and their journeys across borders. Celebrated twice a year—in May and October—WMBD reflects the cyclical nature of bird migration and the varying peak periods in the northern and southern hemispheres.
How to celebrate WMBD at Sylvan Heights Bird Park:
- Pick up free migratory bird coloring sheets and activities in the Visitor Center
- Enjoy an educational Keeper Chat at 1:15 pm featuring migratory birds.
- Discover the featured migratory bird species in the aviaries at the park!
