Join Sylvan Heights Bird Park as we celebrate this awareness day for the conservation of migratory birds and their habitats!
World Migratory Bird Day is a global campaign that serves as a beacon for conservation efforts aimed at safeguarding migratory birds and their journeys across borders. Celebrated twice a year—in May and October—WMBD reflects the cyclical nature of bird migration and the varying peak periods in the northern and southern hemispheres.
How to celebrate WMBD at Sylvan Heights Bird Park:
- Enjoy educational Keeper Chats throughout the day and meet migratory bird species up close,
- Learn about birding and bird banding at our education stations,
- Discover our Wetland Safari, a fun and educational activity featuring wetlands and the wildlife that depend on them. Wetland Safari kits are $1 off the regular price on May 10th!
