Bird Count at Treehouse PDF Print E-mail

02/20/2010- Earlier today, we had a sighting of around 14 different wild birds at the Bird's Nest treehouse within the last 30 minutes. Some of the species spotted include:

  • Blue Jay
  • Black Capped Chickadee
  • Downy Woodpecker
  • American Robin
  • Eastern Bluebird
  • Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
  • Slate Colored Junco
  • Carolina Wren
  • Common Grackle
  • American Crow
  • Common Raven

 

  And many more!

 

If you are bird watching and spot something particularly rare or new to the area, we ask that you please list the species and where it was spotted in the bird watching log located in the main building beside the guest book. For those who follow the Tundra Swan migration, there is a small flock located on Hwy 125 South towards Hobgood, roughly a half mile past Perry's Auto Shop on the left side in the field.
