At Sylvan Heights we are committed to getting families back into the great outdoors, so we are offering quality programming for families. Come and spend the day with us, pack a lunch and schedule an adventure. With our family programs, young and old alike will enjoy getting back to nature.

Family Wetland Program

This is a hands-on program for the whole family!  We will take you into the wetland, where you will research and identify different creatures.  Using natural materials, you will create your own wetland diorama to take home with you. During this 2 hour program, you'll feel like a kid again, no matter how old you are.. The cost of this program is $60 plus admission fees. Admission fees are waved for park members.  Family Explorer Program

 Your family will love learning about wildlife, the proper use of research tools, navigating through the park with a compass, making their own research tools and some interesting facts about our feathered friends. This is a wonderful 2 hour family adventure that everyone will enjoy. The cost of this program is $60 plus admission fees. Admission fees are waved for park members. Call 252-826-3186 to schedule.
